Livingston Designer Outlet accommodates over 90 retail units and leisure facilities including a cinema, leisure centre and foodcourt. Keppie were appointed to develop a concept scheme for the foodcourt area. Following on from workshops with the client, three distinct zones were identified - pit stop aimed at teenage diners around a central atrium; a family kitchen, and a dining lounge.


A space planning exercise was carried out to increase the number of covers and ensure efficient circulation. Items of fixed furniture are designed to be functional A monochrome colour scheme was utilised to link with the Centre’s branding whilst considering the lighting scheme, to create visual interest and identity within zones, enabling ambient settings that can be used at night within the central atrium and fountain.
