G51 Ibrox Village
Govan, Glasgow

Rangers FC, in conjunction with private landholders and Glasgow City Council, approached Keppie Design in 2009 to establish a vision and long-term strategy for the G51 area, Ibrox, Glasgow. The brief was to develop a mixed-use masterplan consisting of a variety of high quality, commercial and residential buildings with a commercial quarter at its heart, creating an all-round attractive, sustainable environment for people to work and socialise in.

The masterplan seeks to create places that reinforce the community living and working environment, whilst positioning it as an attractive business location for the wider area.

The use of walking and cycling are encouraged via the introduction of a strong pedestrian ‘boulevard’ through the site and a variety of open spaces and public squares provide a clear sense of accessibility and order to the overall masterplan.
