Whitehall Park School
Islington

Whitehall Park School is a two form entry primary free school for 420 pupils and is located in the Whitehall Park conservation area of Islington which is predominantly Edwardian in character.

The restricted size of the site with split levels has resulted in a three storey solution with a rooftop playground. The ground floor classrooms open out onto a south facing playground and the first floor opens out onto the main entrance road.

Glass curtain-walling wraps round both street elevations to reveal internal wall colours and activity while providing a reference to the heritage of the glazed Cadbury-Brown building. London stock brick and engineering brick form the cladding to the elevations facing the playground.
