It was an easy decision at Keppie HQ when it came to choosing our charity partner for 2023 & 2024. The work done by the incredible team at Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) is so important, yet so often overlooked.
SAMH has been around since 1923 and they work with various communities throughout Scotland to tackle the increasing need for mental health and wellbeing support. 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem, such as anxiety or depression in their lifetime, and since the pandemic, SAMH’s information service saw a 50% increase in demand.
The Keppie Team recognise how vital mental health services are and continue to be motivated to achieve our 2-year target of £20,000.
This year marks our 4th venture out at the Glasgow Kiltwalk, having taken part in 2018 for #TeamHamish, then virtually in 2020 and back in-person in 2022 both for CHAS.
On 28th April we have a 30-strong team ready to dust off their walking shoes and finest kilts to take on the 23-mile challenge from Glasgow Green to Balloch Park.

Our charity team includes Janine, Kim, Elisabeth, Annabel, Kirsty and Michael. Each play a key role in our charity committee, setting targets, organising fundraising events, and motivating our 115-strong team.
We organise Keppie’s participation in events as large as The Kiltwalk, or smaller in-house bake sales, art auctions, step challenges, quizzes, etc.
For our team, giving something back is not just an integral part of working life, but of life in general.
Keep an eye out for updates on the Kiltwalk and more upcoming fundraising!
