Elaine Sommerville

Elaine’s background is commercial architecture. She has experience in masterplanning, workplace, retail, hotels & hospitality, industrial and residential sectors.  Recently she has been focused on the development of the hotel sector for Keppie, with the first few projects being completed, strengthening both our portfolio and sector contacts. Elaine studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture and completed both her BArch and MArch there.  It was an amazing environment to study in, surrounded by such a diversification of other art students and of course the Glasgow School of Art itself!  She joined Keppie Design in 2013 as an Associate Director.

Elaine loves being part of the exciting, talented and award winning Team Keppie!  Her focus is on business development, client management and the bid strategy for Keppie across the commercial, healthcare and education sectors.

Elaine’s passion is running, she loves being able to get out in the fresh air, come rain or shine! A well kept secret, in her younger days Elaine once did a photo shoot for “Tennents” and no it wasn’t for the cans!
