Stephen Burns

After graduating from University of Dundee School of Architecture, Stephen joined Keppie in 2012, before qualifying as an Architect in 2014. Following a period of employment at another firm, he returned to the organisation in 2019.

Stephen has been able to gain a varied experience in the construction industry, from both sides of the Client and Project Stakeholders. In his first period of employment, Stephen worked closely with our Project teams and dedicated Interiors team on various healthcare and education projects before undertaking the Project Lead role for the construction and completion of Ellon Academy in Aberdeenshire. More recently, Stephen has been working predominately on the Monklands Hospital reference design as part of the proposed campus relocation. This has involved working closely with NHS Lanarkshire and multiple Client stakeholder groups in order to ensure all unique individual department requirements are captured within the overall design proposals.

Stephen and his wife love travelling and make it a point to try and pick one new city to visit each year. He has also developed a keen interest in Football, Music and Politics on both sides of the Atlantic; with a keen current interest in the history of American Politics.
